KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the core finance functions including Statutory and Management Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Taxation, Compliance and Treasury.
- Oversee financial, accounting, and internal control functions to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports.
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations process and ensuring they are completed, and all reconciling items appropriately addressed in a timely manner for review.
- Establish robust accounting processes and regularly review and improve existing procedures to ensure compliance.
- Manage all aspects of income tax, SST, and other tax compliance.
- Identify and address potential control weaknesses and manage associated risks.
- Implement processes to monitor and communicate business risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with other department heads to identify, measure, and manage organizational risks to enhance performance.
- Drive continuous process and results improvement through effective planning, performance monitoring, and leadership.
- Undertake additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by management.
- Must be able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment required.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and effectively communicate and collaborate across the organization.
COMPETENCIES
- Prior audit background in Big 4 required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- MNC or regional experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to identify and manage risks related to client accounts.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and efficiency.
QUALIFICATION
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
● Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
