Financial Controller (WFH)

About The Company

Our client is a fast-growing payment services company dealing with remittances and international funds transfers for European and Asian clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management to establish effective accounting processes and controls to ensure the integrity of all company’s projects and businesses.
• Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly numbers.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records related to foreign exchange transactions.
• Generate accurate and comprehensive financial reports and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Approving invoices: Ensuring invoices are properly approved and coded in the general ledger.
• Cash flow management: Monitoring and balancing cash flows into and out of a business to meet obligations and optimize investment.
• Internal controls: Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud.
• Reporting and analysis: Providing financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making on all projects.
• Risk management: Identifying efficiencies and processes to avoid negative cost impact on the business.
• Support: Assist team members as required and manage accounting and financial staff/consultants.
• Payroll: Handling payroll processing
• External reporting: Preparing project-wise financial statements.
• Stakeholder management: Advising management on operations activities based on knowledge of the underlying business.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of proven experience as a financial controller within the financial industry.
• Familiarity with handling large values and volumes of transactions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
