General Manager, Commodity Trading

Key Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all daily operations related to trading activities covering business development, sales and marketing, coordinate import and export operations, and administrative matters.
2. Develop strategies to grow the trading business to achieve business sustainability by ensuring the company profits meet the management’s expectations.
3. Lead the business development and marketing team from end to end in the commodity business.
4. Recruit, onboard, and train employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
6. Report to the Managing Director and the Board on all administrative and business matters of the company.

Job Requirements :

1. At least 10 years of experience as a commodity trading specialist or in the trading business especially in the mining and chemical industry both locally and internationally.
2. Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Marketing, International Trading, or a related field.

Skills :

1. Strong interpersonal skills, highly detailed and strong decision making skills are required.
2. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
3. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
4. Proficiency in trading platforms and market analysis tools.
5. Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
