About Our Client:
Our client is one of the leading commercial marine solutions service providers, with its MRO operations centre in Manjung, located in the southwestern part of the state of Perak, Malaysia.
Job Summary:
The Head of Service will play a pivotal role in overseeing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), ensuring services uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency. He will lead a skilled team of engineers and technicians, driving operational excellence while fostering a customer-centric culture that reinforces our standing as industry leaders in diesel engine maintenance and maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operations of the Service Center to ensure the seamless delivery of MRO services for diesel engines and vessels.
- Design and implement service strategies that align with company objectives, with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and enforce service standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety requirements.
- Streamline service processes and workflows to enhance both efficiency and service quality.
- Analyze and monitor service performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Resolve complex customer issues and complaints, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate service delivery and the customer experience.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Prepare and manage the service department budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key service clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
- Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities, including exploring government contracts and public sector partnerships, in collaboration with the CEO and independently.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with the company’s growth objectives and expand the company’s market presence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering / any relevant tertiary qualification.
- A min. 10 years of hand on experience in MRO services for diesel engines and vessels.
- Proficiency in English and Malay languages are required.
- Good in stakeholders management and customer relationship management.
- Candidates MUST be willing to work at the MRO site in Manjung, Perak.
