Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the entire hiring process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
2. Employee Relations:
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
- Foster a positive work environment and organisation culture through conflict resolution, mediation, and promoting open communication.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention and workplace satisfaction.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
3. Performance Management:
- Develop and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Provide guidance and support for performance improvement plans.
- Work with managers / team leaders to set performance goals and objectives.
4. HR Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, employee documentation and records management, etc.
- Develop, implement and update the employee handbook and HR policies.
- Conduct regular HR audits and ensure all employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments as needed.
6. Training and Development
- Identify training needs and create employee development programs.
- Organise and manage in-house training sessions and external training opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives. Monitor HR metrics and analyze workforce trends to inform decision-making.
- Team Mentorship and Professional Development: Mentor junior HR staff and promote continuous professional development in HR division to stay updated
with HR best practices and trends. - Ad Hoc Tasks or Projects: Respond to or handle ad hoc tasks or projects assigned by top management as required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment. Having managerial experience is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven track record in full spectrum of HR practices.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
