Laser Technician (Chinese Speaking / WFH / Overseas Travel Required)

About the role:

In this position, you are responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining laser machines at customer sites. You act as both a technical expert and a customer support technician, ensuring the machines run at their best. The role also includes diagnosing and repairing any issues and providing routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Commissioning

• Perform on-site installation, calibration, and commissioning of laser systems.
• Ensure equipment is operating to expected performance standards before handover to the client.

Troubleshooting and Repair

• Respond to customer support requests promptly.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues via phone, remote tools, or on-site visits.
• Replace faulty parts and restore normal equipment operation efficiently.

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance according to the service schedule.
• Perform inspections, replace consumables, and identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
  
  

Job Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or above.
• Background in Optoelectronics, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Solid understanding of laser technology and the working principles of laser equipment.
• Familiarity with electromechanical systems and industrial automation is a plus.

Experience

• Prior experience in the installation, commissioning, or maintenance of laser equipment or precision machinery is preferred.

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel frequently, including international assignments.

Language

• Proficient in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) for effective communication with global clients.
