Python Developer – Business Applications / POS Systems (Mandarin Speaker)

About the Client

Our client is a Malaysian food & beverage group engaged in the operation and management of dining and lifestyle concepts. Their business focuses on delivering quality food offerings, consistent service standards, and customer-centric experiences. They are a growing presence within Malaysia’s F&B and hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and enhance software modules across business applications, including POS, inventory, CRM, accounting, website, and eCommerce systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for POS systems and backend modules to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Integrate Odoo with external platforms such as POS systems, payment gateways, mobile applications, and third-party services.
• Identify, fix, and prevent software bugs while optimizing system performance and handling deployments.
• Collaborate closely with business and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation to support ongoing development and system maintenance.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Python and JavaScript development.
• Mandarin speaking candidate is preferred.
• Proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with business systems such as POS, inventory management, CRM, accounting, websites, and eCommerce platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in a Linux environment (preferably Ubuntu).
• Hands-on experience with REST API integration and system-to-system communication.
• Frontend JavaScript and web application development experience is required.
• Odoo exposure is an added advantage but not mandatory.
