Position Summary
The Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and providing accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
- Review and approve payment transactions and payroll.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.
- Ability to interact with clients and provide assistance to their financial needs. Knowledge of Mandarin and English is essential.
- Assist with general administrative matters.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with financial modelling and data analysis.
- Preferably have working experience in a firm.
- Able to respond promptly and effectively.
