Job Description:

1. Ensure all entities and activities in the relevant regions meet all tax compliance requirements, including corporation tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and withholding taxes (in-house and/or using outsource providers, where appropriate).
2. Responsible for Malaysia tax compliance matters and/or other SEA countries’ tax compliance matters.
3. Responsible for statutory accounts disclosure notes in relation to tax and resolve all tax related issues with year-end statutory audit team and monthly accounting for tax.
4. Understand the business details of the entities and work with finance team closely to complete the tax compliance work.
5. Communication with tax authorities on regular tax compliance matters; response to the inquiries from tax authorities; work with external advisors to defend tax audits.

Job Requirements:

1. University degree, with advanced degree or professional qualification in tax or law preferred (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
2. Minimum of 4 years working experience (in house corporate tax experience + tax firm experience is preferred).
3. Knowledge of international taxation laws and regulations, with Malaysia tax background + SEA countries’ tax knowledge preferred.
4. Should have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
5. Should be proactive and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines with ability to multi-task.
6. Fluent Mandarin listening, speaking, reading and writing skills is preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking countries’ stakeholders.
