Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Analyze data and develop outputs/solutions which will provide actionable insights to financial and business operations.
- Involve preparing budgets and overseeing cash flow and all other financial plans.
- Support business leaders/initiatives from financial analysis perspective to drive performance improvements, identify trends and cost savings opportunities.
- Support strategic planning initiatives with financial insights and analysis.
- Ensure that the business is operating at optimal costs while achieving top and bottom-line goals.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
Budget Management
- Manage cash flow, allocate & maintain operation budgets, and optimize working capital.
- Monitor the company’s budget to ensure financial goals are met.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Monitor and perform updates of accounting to ensure a robust internal control environment in compliance with local statutory requirements
- Establish internal financial controls, conduct fixed assets and year-end stock take, period internal & external audit and implement improvements
Team Leadership
- Lead and Mentor the finance team to their full potential by creating opportunities for development and a performance focus driven culture
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Build strong relationships with the various business unit leaders and corporate management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Audit experience is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to identify and manage risks related to client accounts.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and efficiency.
