About The Role

As a Cloud Architect for Migration & Modernization, your main job will be to lead the process of moving IT systems, applications, and data to the cloud. You will also be responsible for creating and carrying out plans to modernize applications. This role requires you to provide technical leadership and work closely with key stakeholders and team members to plan and deliver successful cloud migration or modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, create a migration or modernization plan, and lead the project execution.
• Review the IT systems and applications to recommend the best migration strategy, set priorities, and plan migration phases.
• Assess current systems and applications to develop a migration plan, including identifying risks and creating ways to manage them.
• Design and build cloud architectures based on the Well-Architected Framework.
• Set up a cloud environment using best practices to support large-scale migrations.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate and ensure consistent cloud deployments.
• Create and implement security measures to protect data and applications during and after the migration, following industry standards.
• Develop an operations strategy to help the customer manage and operate their workloads in the cloud.
• Plan and execute a modernization strategy for existing cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the migration team to create a detailed step-by-step guide for cloud migration or modernization.
• Train team members on cloud migration best practices and share knowledge to build the team’s expertise for future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform.
• Experience with server migration is a plus.
• Must have an AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform is a plus.
• Experience with software development and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is a plus.
• Knowledge of RDBMS / NoSQL databases like Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB is a plus.
• Experience giving presentations and leading small group discussions.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is preferred.
