{"id":14903,"date":"2025-02-10T06:59:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T06:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplelake.asia\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=14903"},"modified":"2025-07-31T16:18:25","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T16:18:25","slug":"finance-manager-2","status":"expired","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/peoplelake.asia\/zh\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&p=14903","title":{"rendered":"Finance Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Company Overview<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our client is a leading law firm of advocates and solicitors in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibility 1 \u2013 Financial Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(i)\u00a0<strong>Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements;<\/li>\n<li>Analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all financial accounting not only for our company, group, the law firm but also for our BPO clients.;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the finance reports generated for BPO clients align with their requirements; and<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(ii)\u00a0<strong>Budget Development &amp; Monitoring<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with senior leadership and heads of departments to create and implement annual budgets;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report on financial performance against the budget;<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and propose cost reduction opportunities; and<\/li>\n<li>Recommend improvements as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(iii)\u00a0<strong>Cash Flow Management<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the firm\u2019s cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations; and<\/li>\n<li>Manage and maximise returns on idle funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(iv)\u00a0<strong>Regulatory Compliance<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the firm, as well as the BPO client processes, meet all local financial and tax regulations. This includes accurate and timely tax filings and payments; and<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with legal requirements regarding financial operations for legal firms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(v)\u00a0<strong>Strategic Financial Planning<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in long-term financial planning, risk management, and investment strategies to support the firm\u2019s growth and sustainability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(vi)\u00a0<strong>Process Improvement &amp; Automation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Periodically review and update the finance framework when necessary, including developing and implementing new finance policies and procedures; and<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and manage finance automation projects tailored to BPO client needs, aiming to improve finance department workflow and efficiency and ensure client satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(vii)\u00a0<strong>Team Leadership<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor and lead the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, as well as continuous professional development;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure team members are trained in the requirements of each BPO client;<\/li>\n<li>Provide education and training sessions when necessary to ensure the team is utilising the most up-to-date financial management techniques and tools;<\/li>\n<li>Set goals and objectives for team members; and<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodical performance reviews with team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibility 2 \u2013 Learning &amp; Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct the design, content, planning, and implementation of corporate internal and external training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with leadership functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as the effectiveness of established programs.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities and implement strategies to enhance self-awareness, communication, leadership and team-building skills within and outside of the group.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is compulsory;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles with at least 5 years in a managerial position;<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of financial principles, budgeting with financial software is essential.
