As a forward-looking energy solutions provider, they are involved in large-scale solar (LSS) projects and infrastructure, contributing to Malaysia\u2019s sustainability goals. With solid backing and strong growth momentum, they are currently looking for a capable and strategic <strong>Head of Accounts<\/strong> to lead their finance function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: Candidates who are able to join by July 2025 will be prioritised.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Job Purpose:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate records, compliance, and effective internal controls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage all core accounting operations: general ledger, financial reporting, project costing, AP\/AR and statutory audit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support budgetary control and integrate operational accounting with overall financial planning and treasury.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Financial Reporting &amp; General Ledger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee general ledger accuracy and group consolidation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure MFRS compliance and timely reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Project Accounting &amp; Cost Control<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set up job costing for project tracking and variance analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor allocation of costs (labour, overheads, materials).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. AP\/AR Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supervise vendor payments, billing milestones and receivables collection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Fixed Assets &amp; Inventory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Track capital expenditures and site inventory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Statutory Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure tax compliance (SST, e-invoicing, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead audits and policy updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Internal Controls &amp; Process Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implement controls and streamline processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Cash Flow &amp; Treasury<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor cash position, payment approvals, bank reconciliations, facilities and forecasts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8. ERP &amp; Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee accounting in ERP (e.g., Dynamics 365), coordinate IT compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9. Team Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mentor the accounting team, set KPIs and foster a high-performance culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10. Ad-hoc Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Undertake other responsibilities related to the finance function as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Candidate Requirements<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Experience<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Industry experience in <strong>construction<\/strong> or <strong>engineering<\/strong> sectors is highly preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u6559\u80b2<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting (professional certifications are a plus).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Knowledge<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong grasp of MFRS, construction accounting (WIP, BOQ, retention), taxation, and ERP systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Skills &amp; Attributes<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analytical, detail-oriented, confident communicator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to lead teams and manage reporting deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ethical, proactive, accountable and business-savvy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Work Conditions<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Office-based, with occasional travel to project sites or warehouses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standard 5-day workweek; additional hours required during audits, closings and reporting cycles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>How to Apply<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply or enquire about the position, please contact:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kwa Kheng Sun<\/strong><br>Tel: 016-216 1772<br>Email: khengsun.kwa@peoplelake.asia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
