Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Product Classification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Assign accurate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)<\/strong> and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN)<\/strong> to products using established tools, databases, and technical documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Review and analyze product specifications, technical drawings, and engineering data<\/strong> to determine correct classifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Research and interpret official classification resources, such as customs rulings, export regulations, and government guidance<\/strong>, to support compliance decisions.

    Trade Compliance Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Ensure product data and classifications are accurately maintained in internal systems<\/strong> and are audit-ready<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Perform sanctions screening and due diligence checks<\/strong> on customers, orders, and shipments to ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Support the preparation and submission of documentation for import and export activities<\/strong> as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Assist in maintaining records and reports<\/strong> required for audits, government inquiries, and internal reviews.

      Collaboration & Continuous Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Work closely with engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and trade compliance<\/strong> teams to collect and validate product information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identify and support process improvement initiatives<\/strong>, documentation updates, and data quality enhancements related to trade compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Stay up to date on changes in customs and export control regulations<\/strong> and communicate relevant updates to the team.

        Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong> in International Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 2+ years of experience<\/strong> in trade compliance, customs classification, or import\/export operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Hands-on experience managing import and export compliance activities across multiple regions<\/strong>, preferably including the U.S., U.K., and China<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Hands-on experience assigning HTS and ECCN codes<\/strong> and interpreting international trade regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Strong analytical and research skills<\/strong> \u2014 able to interpret technical and regulatory data to make informed decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Excellent attention to detail<\/strong>, accuracy, and documentation discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Effective communication and collaboration skills<\/strong>, comfortable working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Fluency in written and spoken English<\/strong> is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
