{"id":17136,"date":"2025-12-17T07:44:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T07:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplelake.asia\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=17136"},"modified":"2025-12-17T07:44:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T07:44:25","slug":"data-engineer-12-month-contract","status":"publish","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/peoplelake.asia\/zh\/jobs\/data-engineer-12-month-contract\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Engineer (12-month contract)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the company: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A global leader in shipping and logistics, providing reliable transport and supply chain solutions worldwide with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the role: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for a <strong>Data Engineer<\/strong> to support the Finance Business Controlling team through <strong>Python-based automation and data engineering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop, maintain, and optimize <strong>Python automation<\/strong> for finance and controlling workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automate complex <strong>Excel and OneStream<\/strong> processes using Python and VBA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and maintain <strong>data pipelines<\/strong> for cleaning, transformation, allocation, and reconciliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create <strong>standardized data models<\/strong> for recurring FP&amp;A cycles (Actuals, Forecast, Budget).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve and industrialize existing workflows to reduce manual effort and errors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce clear <strong>SOPs and documentation<\/strong>, and support user training and handover.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and maintain <strong>Power BI \/ Qlik Sense dashboards<\/strong> for business performance monitoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide technical support during month-end, forecast, and peak reporting periods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5+ years of experience<\/strong> in Python development, automation, or data engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Python (pandas, numpy)<\/strong> and Excel automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid understanding of <strong>data modeling and ETL processes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with <strong>SQL<\/strong>; Snowflake experience is a strong advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience building dashboards using <strong>Power BI and\/or Qlik Sense<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with <strong>Git, version control, and documentation best practices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to understand finance workflows (FP&amp;A \/ Controlling) and translate them into technical solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, you may reach out to Grace Tan via email (grace.tan@peoplelake.asia) or WhatsApp (+6018-780 1215)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the company: A global leader in shipping and logistics, providing reliable transport and supply chain solutions worldwide with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
