You will drive the adoption of latest network architecture while managing vendor relationships, budgets, and a team of engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Define and implement the overall network strategy and technology roadmap spanning LAN, WAN, data centres, cloud, and telecom systems.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lead network architecture design, feasibility studies, cost analysis, performance tuning, and capacity planning.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive modernisation initiatives including <strong>SD-WAN, automation, zero-trust, and SASE <\/strong>adoption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide short- and long-term technology roadmaps, embedding industry best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct compliance gap assessments and implement remediation plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee CAPEX\/OPEX budgets, cost optimisation, vendor assessments, and procurement cycles (RFI\/RFP\/RFQ).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lead strategic Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives, defining success criteria and ensuring data-driven adoption decisions.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage, mentor, and grow the network engineering team<\/strong> \u2013 setting performance goals, certifications, and career progression paths.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with IT, security, cloud, and business units to align network capabilities with organisational goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive adoption of automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform) and modern monitoring platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>At least a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent \u2013 recognised by the Malaysian government \u2013 with minimum CGPA of 3.00 \/ 2nd Class Upper.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pass in Bahasa Melayu (including oral), English and Modern Maths at SPM level<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 2\u20135 years in management or senior leadership roles.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven track record overseeing large-scale, high-availability networks, including global or multi-site operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Broad expertise in routing\/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN) and data centre architectures.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strong understanding of SD-WAN<\/strong>, <strong>SASE<\/strong>\u00a0or similar advanced technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solid knowledge of network security concepts \u2013 firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, zero-trust architecture, and compliance frameworks.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with\u00a0<strong>Hybrid Cloud Architecture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in network automation\/orchestration tools \u2013 Python, Ansible, Terraform \u2013 plus modern monitoring platforms (added advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to develop and own network strategy, roadmap, capacity planning, and resilience initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong budget and vendor management experience \u2013 procurement cycles, asset lifecycles, CAPEX\/OPEX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent stakeholder management across IT, security, cloud, and business units.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Willing to travel<\/strong> when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please be informed that only shortlisted candidate will be notified.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, kindly reach out to Sunny Khoo via Whatsapp at 012-5164406 or via email at sunny.khoo@peoplelake.asia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the company: A reputable Government-Linked Investment Company (GLIC).
