You will own incident management, root cause analysis, SLA compliance, and network security operations (firewalls, load balancers, proxies, URL filtering). This role spans two domains: Network Data (campus &amp; data centre operations) and Network Security (security controls operations).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lead and manage the network operations team<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>establishing operating models, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ensure availability, performance, and stability of network services in accordance with agreed SLA\/SLOs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage proactive monitoring, alerting, capacity management, and change management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lead incident and problem management, including root cause analysis (RCA) for high-impact disruptions.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce MTTR and enhance user experience through continuous operational improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with the security team on network security control operations (firewalls, load balancers, URL filtering, proxies).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure operational compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage service providers, network vendors, and support contracts \u2013 monitoring vendor performance and SLA compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support operational budget planning and cost optimisation initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive adoption of operational automation, monitoring tools, and ITSM practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage operational communications with key stakeholders \u2013 business units, IT teams, security, and vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide regular reports to senior management on operational status, SLA performance, risks, and major incidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>At least a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent \u2013 recognised by the Malaysian government \u2013 with minimum CGPA of 3.00 \/ 2nd Class Upper.<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pass in Bahasa Melayu (including oral), English and Modern Maths at SPM level<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 2\u20135 years in management or senior leadership roles.<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling network operations teams<\/strong> \u2013 setting clear goals and fostering professional growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to <strong>develop and own network strategy, roadmap, capacity planning, and resilience initiatives<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong problem-solving mindset \u2013 <strong>incident management, root cause analysis, SLA enforcement, disaster recovery planning<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in <strong>performance monitoring, capacity forecasting, and optimisation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Broad expertise in routing\/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strong understanding of SD-WAN<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>SASE<\/strong>\u00a0or similar advanced technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solid knowledge of network security concepts \u2013 firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, zero-trust architecture, and compliance frameworks.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with\u00a0<strong>Hybrid Cloud Architecture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong budget and vendor management experience \u2013 procurement cycles, asset lifecycles, CAPEX\/OPEX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent stakeholder management across IT, security, cloud, and business units.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing to travel and work in Kwasa Damansara.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please be informed that only shortlisted candidate will be notified.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, kindly reach out to Sunny Khoo via Whatsapp at 012-5164406 or via email at sunny.khoo@peoplelake.asia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the company: A reputable Government-Linked Investment Company (GLIC).
