As a recently formed entity, they currently have minimal public presence and limited information available online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking for a hands-on <strong>Senior Manager, Operational Risk, 2LOD &amp; Cash Operations Controls<\/strong> to lead transaction monitoring, cash operations risk oversight, reconciliations, and broader operational risk activities across the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This role will manage a small team and work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Customer Service, HR, and Technology Support to strengthen controls, improve governance, and provide effective <strong>2LOD oversight and challenge<\/strong>. The role is rooted in the original JD\u2019s focus on transaction monitoring, cash operations, reconciliations, key controls, process walkthroughs, and team leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead <strong>2LOD risk oversight and challenge<\/strong> across key operational and support functions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee <strong>transaction monitoring<\/strong>, including review, escalation, and follow-up of unusual or high-risk transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage risks relating to <strong>cash operations, fund movements, settlements, and daily reconciliations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead <strong>CSA \/ RCSA \/ risk register<\/strong> activities and ensure risk documentation remains current and meaningful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee <strong>key controls monitoring<\/strong> and drive follow-up on control gaps, missed controls, and remediation actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct <strong>process walkthroughs and control reviews<\/strong> to identify weaknesses and recommend practical improvements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead, coach, and develop a team of <strong>3 to 5 staff<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare clear <strong>management reporting<\/strong> on operational risk issues, control gaps, reconciliation exposures, and remediation progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Degree in <strong>Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management<\/strong>, or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8 to 12 years<\/strong> of relevant experience in <strong>operational risk, 2LOD, internal controls, transaction monitoring, cash management, cash operations, reconciliations, audit, or process review<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong and practical experience in <strong>cash operations \/ cash management \/ fund flow \/ settlement \/ reconciliation controls<\/strong> is a must-have<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience in <strong>2LOD oversight \/ challenge<\/strong>, control reviews, and risk assessment work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience leading or supporting <strong>CSA \/ RCSA \/ risk register<\/strong> activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven team leadership experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to communicate effectively in <strong>English and Mandarin, <\/strong>both written and spoken<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May be required to travel to client office twice a year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>Nice to Have<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience working in <strong>financial services, fintech, payments, banking, remittance, or other high-transaction environments<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working across functions such as <strong>Finance, HR, Operations, Customer Service, or Technology Support<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certification in ACCA or CPA is a bonus point.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with governance reporting, issue tracking, and control documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please be informed that only shortlisted candidate will be notified.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, you may reach out to Jamie at her email at <strong>jamie.tan@peoplelake.asia<\/strong> or WhatsApp her at <strong>+6012 238 9953<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the Client A newly established business consultancy firm based in Malaysia.
