As the sole finance representative in Malaysia, this role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury management, and coordination with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and government authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Finance Executive will work closely with the finance team based in Taiwan to ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and reporting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Financial Accounting &amp; Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain full set of accounts for the Malaysia entity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process and record accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare monthly management reports and financial schedules for submission to regional and global finance teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Accounts Payable &amp; Receivable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Process vendor invoices, employee claims, and payment requests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare payment runs and ensure timely settlement of obligations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate records of vendor and customer accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Treasury &amp; Cash Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor daily cash positions and banking activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare cash flow forecasts and support working capital management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate bank transactions, account maintenance, and banking documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure adequate controls over cash and payment processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Statutory Compliance &amp; Taxation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare information required for SST, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and other regulatory filings where applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with external tax agents and advisors on tax matters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support annual statutory audit and tax audit exercises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with company secretary on corporate compliance matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Budgeting &amp; Financial Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting exercises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support regional finance teams in financial planning activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Internal Controls &amp; Process Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls and documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and approval workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline finance processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support implementation of finance systems and process enhancements as the company grows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as the primary finance contact for the Malaysia entity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders across Malaysia, Taiwan, and the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience handling full set accounts independently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting\/ERP systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective communication skills in English, Mandarin and Bahasa, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, you may reach out to Cheryl Soh via email (cheryl.soh@peoplelake.asia) or WhatsApp (+6018-772 3437)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the Client: Our client operates in the beauty, wellness, and health products sector, with business activities covering the trading, importing, exporting, distribution, marketing, and direct sales of beauty and personal care products.
