Currently expanding into Malaysia market and building its first local team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the role:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, reconciliation, and administrative finance activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key responsibilities:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financial Analysis &amp; Reporting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor key financial metrics and recommend improvement opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tax reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accounts &amp; Reconciliation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Handle entities&#8217; accounts and ensure timely financial reporting. Closing deadline is on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> of the calendar day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and service providers when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payments Management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage and process payments to vendors, suppliers, service providers, and intercompany entities in a timely and accurate manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor cash flow requirements and coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate payment processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with banks and external parties to resolve payment-related issues and discrepancies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in treasury-related activities and cash management when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrative &amp; Operational Support<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage finance-related administrative documentation and records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting documents for management review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate financial data and filing systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compliance &amp; Risk Management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support internal and external audit activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) are an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years and above of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience handling regional or overseas accounts is preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to project management and process improvement initiatives is desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong project coordination and leadership capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, you may reach out to Cheryl Soh via email (cheryl.soh@peoplelake.asia) or WhatsApp (+6018-772 3437)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About our client: A leading fintech platform founded in 2007 and headquartered in Shanghai, China.
