Stepping Into Leadership With Gratitude and Purpose

I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to serve in the role of Team Lead. This isn’t just a new chapter—it’s a deepened responsibility and a true privilege to walk alongside a team I deeply respect, trust, and believe in. It reflects not only personal growth, but the shared journey we’ve been on together—as a team and as part of our company’s continued evolution and mission.

Coming from a background as a lawyer turned legal recruiter, and now also as an NLP Master Practitioner, I’ve come to realise that success in this industry isn’t just about technical expertise—it’s about people. Relationships. Trust. Growth. And this role gives me the opportunity to give back what I’ve learned, to support others more intentionally, and to help build something greater than myself.

To me, leadership isn’t about having all the answers or giving directions from the front. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported.

Where we can challenge each other, cheer each other on, and rise together. I believe we’re all culture-builders. Every conversation and collaboration helps shape the environment we work in—and I’m committed to building one grounded in trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.

I’ve always believed in leading with principled care—a leadership approach rooted in empathy, responsibility, and clarity. It’s not about micromanaging, but about empowering each person to grow in their own way. It’s about fostering a space where diverse voices are heard, where potential is nurtured, and where people are set up to thrive—together.

Communication is a huge part of this. It’s not just what we say—it’s how we say it. Whether it’s giving feedback, working through a challenge, or celebrating a win, the energy and presence we bring make a difference. As Team Lead, I aim to lead by example—to bring intention, warmth, and encouragement into every interaction. To win, and to bring others with me.

But perhaps the most meaningful part of this journey is witnessing the growth of the people around me. Seeing someone push beyond a comfort zone, achieve a personal milestone, or step into their own confidence—that’s the heart of this role. Because growth is never one-sided. When the team grows, we all grow.

And growth always starts with listening. Deep, intentional listening. Understanding what matters to each person, and helping them build the path to get there. I truly believe there’s no such thing as failure—only feedback and feedforward. We reflect, we adapt, and we keep moving forward—together.
