Role Overview
The Business Development & Marketing Executive/Assistant will work within a centralised BD team to deliver high-quality business development and marketing support across multiple practice groups. This role involves end-to-end management of events, proposals, marketing materials, directory submissions, and ad hoc projects. The candidate will gain professional exposure in services marketing, stakeholder management, and business operations in a leading law firm.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Marketing Support
- Coordinate and maintain deal/matter collection and monthly reporting.
- Track progress of key deals and maintain updated deal lists.
- Draft, coordinate, and monitor directory and league table submissions to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Assist partners in preparing and producing pitches, proposals, and empanelment applications.
- Compile, maintain, and update firm profiles, lawyer CVs, and promotional materials.
Events & Campaigns
- Plan, coordinate, and execute firm events, seminars, sponsorships, and client training sessions from inception to completion.
- Support regional and local BD teams in preparing invitations, newsletters, alerts, and corporate gift distributions.
- Ensure events deliver maximum visibility, impact, and return on investment (ROI).
Marketing & Communications
- Draft and format marketing collaterals, newsletters, and client alerts.
- Manage firm memberships with external chambers and associations (e.g., AMCHAM, MICCI).
- Support internal communications by compiling BD activities for reporting and ensuring brand consistency across outputs.
Systems & Administration
- Maintain marketing databases, CRM systems (e.g., InterAction, BakerCI), and online platforms (e.g., BakerWorld).
- Coordinate photo shoots and updates for lawyer CVs and profiles.
- Source and manage corporate gifts and branded materials.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Law, or related humanities field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in business development, communications, PR, events, or professional services preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest and internship experience will also be considered.
- Administrative experience is an added advantage.
