Key Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist in Baidu to take ownership of Baidu SEO execution for the China market. You will lead keyword research, on-page and structural optimisation, drive technical SEO improvements and use data insights to increase organic traffic and conversions. This role is ideal for someone with solid Baidu SEO experience who can work independently, collaborate with content and technical teams, and proactively propose optimisation strategies.
- Own the execution of Baidu SEO initiatives aligned with business goals and the overall SEO strategy.
- Use Baidu Index (百度指数) to conduct in-depth keyword research, plan core and long-tail keyword strategies and guide content direction.
- Lead TDK strategy, content structure and internal linking for key pages to improve rankings and organic traffic.
- Work with product and development teams on website structure optimisation, URL structure, mobile adaptation, redirects and HTTP status handling and other technical SEO topics.
- Use Baidu Webmaster Tools (百度站长工具) to continuously monitor site indexing, crawl anomalies, issues and potential risks, and drive investigation and fixes.
- Use Baidu Tongji (百度统计) for data analysis, including traffic sources, user behaviour, conversion paths and key page performance, and turn insights into clear optimisation plans and experiments.
- Prepare regular SEO performance reports, summarising results, issues and proposed next actions.
- Stay up to date with Baidu algorithm updates and industry trends, assess potential impact on the site and adjust SEO approaches accordingly.
- Where needed, provide guidance to junior team members or external content resources to improve overall SEO execution quality.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SEO, with proven hands-on experience in Baidu SEO / China market SEO. Candidate with only Google SEO experience can apply as well.
- Strong understanding of Baidu ranking mechanisms, on-page and o-page strategies, content optimisation and technical SEO.
- Practical experience using 百度指数, 百度站长工具 and 百度统计 for keyword research, issue diagnosis and data analysis.
- Strong Mandarin (reading & writing) is required, as daily work, communication and content are mainly in Chinese.
- Data-driven mindset, strong logical thinking and ability to translate data into actions.
- Good project management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Experience in China-market platforms or tools.
- Experience building SEO processes, playbooks or guidelines, and providing coaching or reviews for junior team members.
