Web Developer (SEO-Focused)

Job Overview:

This is a hands-on junior role supporting website development, on-page SEO implementation, and structured content deployment.

Job Responsibilities:

Website Development & Maintenance

• Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining WordPress websites for multiple brands
• Customize existing themes and manage plugins under supervision
• Develop responsive layouts optimized for desktop and mobile viewing
• Support website updates, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
• Ensure basic website stability and functionality

SEO Implementation

• Implement on-page SEO best practices, including:
  • Proper semantic H1–H6 heading structures
  • Optimized meta titles and meta descriptions
  • Internal linking strategies and content silo structures
  • Clean URL structures and canonicalization
• Structure and deploy content aligned with search intent and topical authority
• Manage crawlability, indexation control, and XML sitemap setup
• Implement schema markup (e.g. Organization, WebSite, FAQ, Article)

Technical Optimization

• Assist with page speed improvements, image optimization, and caching setup
• Support basic hosting tasks (SSL setup, domain configuration, backups)
• Assist in website migrations and redirects when required

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with WordPress (theme customization & plugin usage)
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and fundamental JavaScript
• Familiarity with hosting environments (cPanel or similar)
• Basic understanding of website performance optimization
• Good written and reading proficiency in Mandarin

SEO Knowledge (Strong Advantage)

• Understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of internal linking and content structure
• Awareness of search intent and SEO content best practices
• Exposure to structured data/schema markup is an advantage
• Experience with content-driven or niche SEO websites is a plus
