Application Engineer (Pre-sales Engineer)

Role Summary:

The Application Engineer will serve as a pre‑sales technical resource, supporting the sales team with customer analysis, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions. The role combines business development support, technical consultation, and training delivery, ensuring customer requirements are met while maintaining competitiveness in the semiconductor industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Act as a pre‑sales technical consultant, analyzing customer needs and recommending optimal solutions.
Set up and conduct in‑house application evaluations using demo equipment; prepare reports and presentations for prospective clients.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to configure solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure solutions remain competitive.
Work with international suppliers (Europe, US, China) on sample evaluation methods.
Provide on‑site training to distributors and customers.
Support technical product presentations and application tasks locally and overseas.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics or related) or Bachelor of Science in Physics.
Candidates with semiconductor industry experience and knowledge of SAM are preferred.
Fresh graduates (semiconductor/electronics background) are encouraged to apply.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self‑driven, customer‑oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in Mandarin communication is an advantage.
Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas.
Candidates with Mandarin communication skills will be preferred, as this will support the role requirements.
