Fintech Compliance Specialist (Marketing)

Job Description
The Marketing Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all marketing initiatives, campaigns, and materials complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position involves working closely with the marketing, legal and compliance teams as well as Business teams to review and approve marketing content, manage compliance risks, and provide guidance on regulatory requirements.

Review and Approval:
• Review marketing materials, including advertisements, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional content, and any other relevant materials to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards under Ant’s Point of Sales Marketing Compliance hub.
• Approve or reject marketing content based on compliance assessments, providing detailed feedback and recommendations for necessary changes.
• Provide feedback on necessary changes, amendments, adaptations or suggestion to Head of Departments in Compliance, Legal and Business leads.
Compliance Monitoring:
• Monitor marketing activities to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of marketing practices to identify potential compliance issues.
Policy Development and Implementation:
• Develop, implement, and update marketing compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all marketing team members are aware of and adhere to compliance policies and procedures.
Training and Education:
• Provide training and educational sessions to marketing and other relevant teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Keep the team updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that may impact marketing activities.
Risk Management:
• Identify and assess compliance risks associated with marketing activities.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address potential compliance issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the legal, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and support on compliance-related matters.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance reviews, approvals, and training activities and database
• Prepare and present regular reports on marketing compliance activities and issues to senior management.
Other Responsibilities
• Execute marketing strategies and guidelines that promote the awareness, adoption, and utilization of Alipay+ wallets in SEA countries and China. Support the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, events, and partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, Business and regional teams, to align marketing efforts with business goals.
• Work with local partners, merchants, and influencers to create joint marketing initiatives that drive wallet adoption. Collaborate with local agencies or vendors to ensure the effective implementation of marketing campaigns and materials with Business where necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, payment innovations, and regulatory changes in global markets.

Job Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Compliance, Risk or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in marketing execution roles, with a strong background in the payment industry and familiarity with SEA markets.
• Proven track record in planning and executing successful marketing campaigns in the digital and traditional space.
• Solid understanding of mobile wallets, payment solutions, and the fintech landscape. In-depth knowledge of the payment industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behaviors in both SEA and China.
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and cultures.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and make data-backed recommendations
