Assistant Manager, Management Accounting & Continuous Improvement

Job Purpose

Provide assistance to the General Manager to oversee and manage the activities under the Finance department to ensure the tasks are delivered on time. Responsible for leading and supporting the Senior Executive/ Executive teams by offering insight and advice regarding financial management

 

Responsible to/Report to: Head of Finance

 

Position Summary

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Verify and approve the Purchase Requisition (PR) and Urgent Declaration Form (UDF) in accordance with the GLOA and budget allocation.
  • Prepare manufacturing account of performance against budget for management decision making.
  • Prepare monthly financial forecasting and product costing.
  • Prepare feasibility study and cost benefit analysis for management decision making.
  • Monitor and analyze cashflows of the company.
  • Ensure timely preparation of the annual budget of the department aligned with corporate requests.
  • Responsible for providing information and supporting documents available as per request during annual audit.
  • Manage and advise departmental spending and ensure it is in line with the departmental budget as requested per year.
  • Establish, review, update and enforce proper accounting policies, procedures and methods comply with company policy and applicable law.
  • Comply with safety policies, company policies, rules and regulations.
  • All tasks assigned by superiors must be completed on or before the deadline / timeline given.
  • Prepare board paper for management information and decision.
  • Support continuous improvement committee in improving profitability.
  • Assist in risk management of the company.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors and / or the Management whenever required.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in Finance and Account field, including minimum 3 years in managerial position
  • Knowledgeable in prevailing financial and accounting
  • Solid hands-on experience in good finance and account practices, procedures and systems
  • Excellent in people management & communication skills
  • Good leadership skills and strong team player
  • Proficient in G-Suite
