About the Client
Our client is a professional services firm that provides corporate secretarial, compliance, and business support solutions to companies across various industries. They help businesses manage statutory requirements, governance matters, and administrative processes efficiently. Their clients range from SMEs to larger corporations seeking reliable, outsourced corporate services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, updating and ensuring the timely lodgment of statutory forms, notifications and returns, as well as ensuring the proper maintenance of register books, secretarial books and internal administration;
- Attending meetings as well as drafting Directors Circular Resolutions, Members Circular Resolutions, notices and minutes of meetings;
- Making preparations for Board, Board Committee and General Meetings including compiling meeting papers and materials;
- Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and providing general advice on company secretarial matters for the clients compliance with all regulatory requirements;
- Checking with and attending to the Companies Commission of Malaysia and other authorities in connection with company secretarial matters;
- Assisting with the incorporation of new companies; and
- Any other duties associated with the position as and when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at the minimum Diploma or Degree in Bachelor of Laws or Corporate Administration or Business Administration.
- 4-7 (Asst Manager)/9-10 (Manager) years of relevant working experience required.
- Professional qualifications to act as Company Secretary and ability to work independently.
- Membership in ICSA/ MAICSA/ MACS is required.
- Good knowledge of the Companies Act 2016, Companies Commission guidelines and Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance.
- Prefer candidate who has experience handling Public Listed Company (PLC) / IPO works.
- Mandarin speaking candidate preferred due to client’s business nature.
- Proficient in maintaining and safekeeping of statutory records.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MyCoID and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams would be an added advantage.
- Pleasant personality, proactive, meticulous, good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong sense of responsibility & leadership skill.
