Employment Screening Officer (Remote)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly communicative individual to join our team as an Employment Screening Officer to support our global operation team. This is a key role which is responsible for performing detailed background checks and verifications to confirm the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of candidate information. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high professional standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct employment reference checks via phone and email.
  • Perform database screening and searches for verification and background purposes.
  • Verify educational credentials by contacting institutions via phone and email.
  • Accurately input and manage data collected during background checks.
  • Organize, compile, and generate clear and concise reports for clients and candidates.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and requests.
  • Execute any additional background check tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Open to fresh graduates, or with 1 to 3 years’ working experience.
  • Knowledge in employment screening or background verification is a strong advantage.
  • Possession of a university degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum SPM Certificate with a Credit Score in the Chinese Language
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to maintain high ethical and professional standards.
  • IT savvy with proficiency in using office productivity softwares (e.g. MS Office, Google Workplace, Smartsheets, email).
  • Ability in handling data processing tasks efficiently.
