About our client:
Our client is a Malaysia-based company specializing in real estate advisory, investment, and asset management services, with its parent company headquartered in Singapore. They are currently seeking a Finance & Administration Manager to oversee financial operations and administrative functions in Malaysia.
Job Overview:
This role encompasses overseeing administrative functions, accounting, and financial management to ensure
smooth and efficient operations within the company and the SPVs.
Job Responsibilities:
i) Accounting and Budgeting
- Manage and review the monthly management accounts and financial reporting for the company and investment companies.
- Ensure finance ledgers are maintained on a timely basis, are accurate and complete, and in compliance with accounting policies and financial standards.
- Prepare annual budget, cash flow projections, and other related matters.
ii) Audit and Tax
- Responsible for the audited financial statements and tax-related returns (e.g.
corporate tax, SST, withholding tax).
iii) Recurring Operations and Compliance
- Responsible for the day-to-day admin and finance operations, such as:
▪ preparing billing of invoices, payments, business claims etc,
▪ monitoring receipts and manage the cash flows,
▪ handling queries and approvals on admin and finance-related matters,
▪ ensure compliance with regulatory requirements,
▪ renewal of insurance policies, and
▪ maintaining a strong control environment.
iv) Financial and Company Controller
- Liaise with auditors, accounting service providers, tax consultants, company secretary, banks, HR & payroll service providers and other relevant service providers and/or authorities.
v) Operational Improvements
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for all financial reporting processes.
vi) Adhoc
- Responsible for ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time, such as bank account opening, preparation and maintenance of director resolutions, minutes, administrative duties, etc.
Requirements and Skills:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, and Professional Accounting Qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance.
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and minimum supervision.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
