Head of Human Resources

Job Purpose

To provide strategic leadership and oversee the entire spectrum of Human Resources functions. The primary mission is to attract, retain, and develop a high-performance workforce through cost-effective and business-relevant strategies, directly supporting in achieving its ambitious business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term vision and operational needs.
  • Establish short and long-term strategic workforce plans to meet current and future talent requirements.
  • Define key HR objectives and performance metrics to measure effectiveness and impact.
  • Provide expert direction and advice to the CEO and senior leadership on all corporate resourcing and organizational development matters.

2. Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Lead the design and implementation of talent management initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and career pathing.
  • Oversee the development of learning and capability frameworks to fuel both employee growth and business success.
  • Manage the end-to-end performance and reward cycle, including salary reviews, bonus recommendations, and promotions, in partnership with department heads.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through competitive rewards and recognition programs.

3. Core HR Operations & Business Partnering

  • Provide overall leadership for all HR functions: Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, and Organizational Development.
  • Ensure HR Business Partners deliver timely, effective support and advice to business units, enabling sound people decisions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR systems, policies, and processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and support business goals.
  • Champion a positive work environment, industrial harmony, and a strong employer brand.

4. Stakeholder & Board Engagement

  • Act as the primary HR liaison for the Board of Directors and senior stakeholders, securing alignment and approval for key HR strategies and investments.
  • Communicate HR initiatives and their business impact effectively using data-driven insights to influence leadership decision-making.
  • Serve as the HR voice in strategic discussions, ensuring people considerations are integrated into all business planning.

5. People & Culture Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of service excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Cultivate an organizational culture that values collaboration, integrity, and supports the retention of top talent.

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with all Group, statutory, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the adherence to all HR policies and maintain proper records.
  • Leverage knowledge of the business and regulatory environment to proactively shape and mitigate risks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive strategic HR management experience, including significant time in a senior leadership role.
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies that deliver tangible business results.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of financial principles, including P&L, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Executive Influence: Exceptional ability to build consensus, influence executives and the Board, and inspire confidence.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • People Leadership: A dynamic leader with excellent people skills, capable of partnering with a diverse workforce and developing a high-performing team.
  • Judgment & Decision-Making: Astute judgment with the ability to understand complex issues quickly and make wise, decisive choices.
  • Personal Integrity: Unquestionable personal and professional integrity, with a deep commitment to the corporate mission.
  • Resilience: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and delegate efficiently.
