Head of Sales and Marketing (Chemical / Commodity Trading) – based in Kuching Sarawak

Job Descriptions: 

• Oversee all daily operations related to trading activities covering business development, sales and marketing, coordinate import and export operations, and administrative matters.
• Develop strategies to grow the trading business to achieve business sustainability by ensuring the company profits meet the management’s expectations.
• Lead the business development and marketing team.
• Recruit, onboard and train employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability and market share.
• Develop, implement and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
• Report to the Managing Director and the Board on all administrative and business matters of the company.

Requirements: 

• At least 10 years of experience in the commodity trading business especially in the chemical, crude oil, cement and mining industry both locally and internationally.
• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Marketing, International Trading, or a related field.
• Strong Interpersonal skills, detailed and strong decision making skills are required.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and market analysis tools.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
