Summary:
The Operations Manager (Sheet Metal) is responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost control while meeting company revenue and delivery targets. This role involves managing teams, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow adjustments to meet targets.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure product quality and resolve quality issues in collaboration with QA.
- Drive cost control by managing budgets, expenses, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and implement Clean-to-Build (CTB) strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead and mentor production, engineering, and maintenance teams for operational excellence.
- Monitor and improve equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency and quality.
- Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in production processes.
Requirements:
- Min. of 10 years of working experience in sheet metal production processes, within Semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Advanced Diploma / Bachelor degree in related fields.
- Candidate must able to work in Penang.
- Mandarin-speaker is compulsory.
