Job Description:
As we continue to expand our global presence, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Assistant to support the setup of our new regional operations in Malaysia and assist with our financial license applications in different countries.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Support the Establishment of Operations in Malaysia
- Assist with setting up Embracy’s operational hub, including administrative, logistical, and compliance tasks.
- Help recruit and onboard local talent to build a high-performing team.
- Support securing office space and ensuring infrastructure is in place.
2) Support KYC & Onboarding Processes
- Help implement and support the KYC (Know Your Customer) and onboarding processes, ensuring they meet local regulatory standards and align with Embracy’s global policies.
- Work with legal, compliance, and IT teams to assist in ensuring customer verification processes are seamless, efficient, and secure.
- Support the ongoing review and improvement of KYC and onboarding processes to maintain best practices and compliance.
3) Assist with Financial Licensing Applications
- Provide support in applying for financial licenses in other countries, assisting the legal and compliance teams with documentation.
- Help prepare and submit all required documentation for license applications.
- Assist in liaising with local regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth approval processes.
4) Support Ongoing Operating and Maintenance - Provide hands-on support for day-to-day operations in Malaysia & Australia, ensuring smooth business processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues related to systems, customer service, and workflows.
- Assist with managing resources, including personnel, technology, and infrastructure, to ensure optimal utilization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
5) Ad-Hoc Tasks - Report directly to the supervisor and provide support on various ad-hoc tasks, including specific projects or initiatives.
- Assist with any special initiatives or tasks that align with the company’s operational goals.
Job Requirements
- Industry Experience: Ideally, candidates should have experience in the payment industry, particularly with card schemes or other payment companies.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must be fluent in both Chinese and English.
- Location Requirement: This position is based in Kuala Lumpur.
