Pre-Sales Engineer (Data Centre – KL/JB)

Job Overview:

Our client is a leading prefabricated modular data center infrastructure manufacturing and provider with more than 20 years of experience in SEA. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to support their growing Data Center business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical consultation, solution design, and pre-sales support for Data Center Infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Modular Data Centers, Power Systems, Cooling Systems, and Integrated Data Center Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Sales team to identify customer requirements and develop suitable Data Center solutions.
2. Design and propose technical solutions including Modular Data Centers, Critical Power Systems, Cooling Systems, Racks, and Infrastructure Management solutions.
3. Prepare technical proposals, solution presentations, BOQ, and supporting documentation.
4. Conduct customer meetings, technical discussions, workshops, and product demonstrations.
5. Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility and competitiveness.
6. Support bid/tender submissions and technical compliance reviews.
7. Stay updated on Data Center technologies, market trends, and industry standards.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. 3–5 years of experience in Account Management, or Technical Sales for Data Center Infrastructure with familiarity in RFP/RFQ/Tender process.
3. Strong knowledge of Data Center Solutions, including Power, Cooling, Racks, UPS, and Monitoring Systems.
4. Solid experience and understanding of Modular Data Center solutions.
5. Familiar with Data Center standards and best practices.
6. Strong presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
