About Our Client:
Our client is a foreign-invested, technology-driven manufacturer and supplier specializing in HVAC systems, with its manufacturing plant located in Bandar Serendah, Selangor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
– Coordinate and monitor production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
– Ensure proper allocation of manpower and resources to meet production demands.
– Monitor production lines to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
2. Quality & Process Control
– Ensure products meet customer and regulatory quality standards.
– Work closely with QA/QC to implement corrective & preventive actions for quality issues.
– Support the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
3. Efficiency & Productivity
– Identify, analyse and implement improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency, reduce cost and improve quality.
– Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
– Initiate and lead Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives on the shop floor.
4. Team Management
– Supervise and provide guidance to supervisors, line leaders and operators.
– Conduct daily briefings to ensure team members are aware of production performance, safety procedures and other related information.
– Assist in staff training, development, and performance monitoring.
– Enforcement of company rules and regulations.
5. Machine & Material Coordination
– Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
– Ensure materials usage in control and efficiently. Report, investigate and taking corrective action for losses or variance if any.
– Coordinate with Maintenance Team for preventive maintenance and breakdown recovery.
– Report and log equipment malfunctions or capacity issues.
6. Reporting & Documentation
– Maintain accurate production records and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports.
– Assist in inventory stock-take, WIP tracking, and reject/scrap reporting.
– Support internal and external audits (ISO, safety, etc.).
7. Health, Safety & Environmental
– Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulatory, standards and requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and related fields.
- Min. 5 years’ experience in production management and engineering from air-conditioning electronic appliance manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge in HVAC systems is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills (Manager): The ability to lead and motivate a production team effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform management decisions.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong capability to identify and resolve complex production issues.
- Experience: Experience in production management, manufacturing, or HVAC is often required.
