About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, reconciliation, and administrative finance activities.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor key financial metrics and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Tax reporting
Accounts & Reconciliation
- Handle entities’ accounts and ensure timely financial reporting. Closing deadline is on the 4th of the calendar day
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and service providers when required.
Payments Management
- Manage and process payments to vendors, suppliers, service providers, and intercompany entities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor cash flow requirements and coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate payment processing.
- Liaise with banks and external parties to resolve payment-related issues and discrepancies.
- Assist in treasury-related activities and cash management when required.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage finance-related administrative documentation and records.
- Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting documents for management review.
- Maintain accurate financial data and filing systems.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- 3 years and above of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
- Experience handling regional or overseas accounts is preferred.
- Exposure to project management and process improvement initiatives is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Independent, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong project coordination and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
