Senior Financial Analyst (Business Control & Commercial Finance)

About the Client

Our client is part of a leading global shipping and logistics group, supporting worldwide transport and supply chain operations. It operates a centralised finance and accounting hub that drives financial control, reporting, and standardisation across the organisation. The team works in a shared services environment, partnering closely with international business units to support performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate monthly management reports (Actual, Flash, Forecast).
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.
• Perform variance analysis, identify key drivers, and highlight business trends.
• Conduct cost and profitability analysis to support performance tracking.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and key financial performance indicators.
• Ensure accuracy of standard cost calculations and reporting integrity.
• Partner with Operations and Commercial teams as a Finance Business Partner.
• Support financial control reporting and ad-hoc analytical requests.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (professional qualification is an advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Control / Financial Controlling roles.
• Strong experience in cost and revenue analysis with a commercial mindset.
• Proven ability to act as a business partner and support decision-making through insights.
• Experience in shipping/maritime industry is preferred.
• Big 4 audit background is an added advantage.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
• Knowledge of SAP or Oracle is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
