About the Client
A leading fintech innovator in Malaysia, providing Malaysians with a widely used integrated super app for e-wallet payments as well as investment & financial tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecosystem Strategy & Execution: Spearhead the development and implementation of cross-functional commercial initiatives across verticals such as mobility, telco, gaming, and eCommerce.
- Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of strategic, high-impact projects from planning to successful execution.
- Commercial Alignment: Design initiatives with a strong focus on merchant and user needs, ensuring tangible outcomes in revenue growth, operational efficiency, and user engagement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key internal stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Operations, Risk, and others to align goals, gain buy-in, and drive seamless execution.
- Process & Operational Enhancement: Identify gaps and lead improvements in key commercial processes—such as refund handling, PSR, and reconciliation—to optimize performance and user experience.
- Performance Monitoring & Insights: Measure project success through data-driven insights, generate reporting, and communicate outcomes to senior and executive leadership.
- Innovation & Future Planning: Stay ahead of industry trends in payments and platforms; translate market developments into strategic ecosystem initiatives that future-proof the business.
Job Requirements:
- Over 8 years in strategy, business development, or commercial operations, preferably with exposure to platform-based or multi-industry environments.
- Domain Expertise: Solid background in payments, fintech, eCommerce, or telco, with hands-on involvement in cross-functional or ecosystem-driven initiatives.
- Project Management Strength: Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, with strong focus on structured execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Adept at connecting insights across business units to shape initiatives that deliver sustainable ecosystem growth.
- Commercial & Operational Insight: Deep understanding of merchant ecosystems, payment processes, and operational challenges.
- Analytical Capability: Strong ability to interpret data, build compelling business cases, and define actionable strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Confident in engaging with senior leadership and uniting cross-functional teams toward common goals.
