Senior Software Engineer (Microsoft Azure Development) – Work from Home

• A global Educational Technology (EdTech) company headquartered in Australia that partners with universities to design, develop, and deliver high-quality online degree programs.
• The company has expanded its operations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Asia-Pacific region, including Malaysia and Singapore.
• To date, the company collaborates with over 40 university partners worldwide, including institutions like Baylor University, Florida State University, UNSW Sydney, and Sunway University etc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions using modern Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, SQL Databases, Queues, and Log Analytics.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software, customizations, and integrations.
• Collaborate with product management team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Work closely with enterprise architecture team to ensure adherence to architectural standards and security best practices.
• Implement standard security structures and engineering best practices in Azure, including use of Key Vaults, Managed Identity, secure network endpoints, and role-based access controls.
• Provide guidance to junior software engineers.

Experience Required:

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, web development, computer engineering, IT, a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of Microsoft Azure Software Development experience with a proven history of launching successful custom development solutions.
• Strong background in Azure, SQL, .NET Core framework and C# in design patterns and hands-on coding.
• Experience developing solutions using third-party Software Development Kits and cloud-based APIs.
• Solid database development experience with SQL Server including T-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
• Competent in Web development technologies – Web Services, JSON, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, React and other commonly used JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft-centric development and skilled working with Microsoft SDLC management tools and technologies including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git.
