About the Role:

As the Manager, Talent Management, you’ll be playing a significant role in identifying, growing and enhancing Talent Capabilities, competencies and to gain the necessary skills for shaping them what’s next. Achieving this by support and execute the implementation of the Talent Management Strategies and Framework including succession management strategies to ensure leadership continuity and talent readiness from within.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the business and culture, and the strategic initiatives, to align the recruitment needs accurately.
  • Develop and execute talent management programs, including succession planning, talent reviews, and performance management processes.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to key executives on talent management strategies and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Communications, HR) and external partners to ensure a comprehensive talent management strategy.
  • Embrace and contribute to best practices in talent management and operational excellence.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative talent management programs to enhance leadership talent.
  • Assess and recommend improvements for talent management processes.
  • Coordinate talent management initiatives, including project planning, resourcing, and communications.
  • Adapt existing talent development activities to changing market conditions.
  • Utilize the findings from various tools to diagnose the strengths and development needs of the internal pipeline.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate leadership programs for the company’s internal pipeline and leadership levels.
  • Work with the Learning & Development team to support the build of strategic talent development programs to attract internal pipeline development and readiness.
  • Ensure the organisation’s strategic talent strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets.
  • Translate business requirements into innovative learning and capability development solutions that will groom employees and talent for the next step of their career path.
  • Conduct functional competencies for all talents and potential talent, monitor skill inventory for talents, and perform gap analysis for divisions and departments.
  • Source, assess, and recommend vendors for talent development programs.
  • Ensure all learning and development request is submitted to L&D team for Human Resources Development Corporation’s Fund approve and claims.
  • Measure the effectiveness of talent’s learning and development activities to continuously improve the outcome of the initiatives.
  • Possess great analytical and statistical skills to conduct talent assessment and analytics.
  • Actively participate in other people-related projects under Talent Management, such as learning and development, organization design, and effectiveness projects.
  • Build, standardize, and update the Talent Management SOP documentation.
  • Maintain training-related records, documentation, and expenditures in compliance with audit standards.
  • The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the immediate reporting manager from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Specialised in Talent Management, Performance Management, Capability Development OR other Human Resources areas OR Business Administration.
  • Total Relevant Experience: 5 years and above in, Talent Management & Succession Planning /Learning and Development/ Human Resources.
  • Acquired relevant experience in talent management, succession planning, and performance management. Additionally, having experience in HR-related roles and other people-centric projects would be advantageous.
  • Possess strong business acumen with the ability to build organizational effectiveness through people and organizational initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively engage at all levels of employees with great stakeholder management.
  • Analytical and goal-oriented with a drive to see initiatives followed through and brought to fruition.
  • Great with numbers, statistics and general ability to play with data to drive decision-making.
  • Thoroughly enjoy working with people and seeing business results achieved by getting the people strategy right.
