Job Description
To lead and oversee our firm’s overall tax function and to ensure all tax jobs allocated are performed efficiently including dealing with diverse pool of clients (approximately 100 – 150 clients presently and is still expanding), supporting firm job planning activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations among all employees.
- In charge of managing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, including: –
- Preparation/review of tax computations for corporate and personal tax clients.
- Preparation/review of clients’ Form EA, Form E and PCB (II).
- Monitor the work progress of the team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Managing all tax functions including tax administration, tax compliance, tax planning, identifying tax issues, double deduction, withholding tax, real property gains tax, tax advisory, GST/SST, tax incentives, tax audit and investigation, etc.
- Assist in gathering information for the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
- To ensure that all taxation works for clients comply with the Management and the regulatory requirements.
- Responding and attending to all technical and tax queries from clients and tax authority.
- Assist clients in resolving disputes with and inquiries from the tax authority.
- Ensure consistent and latest technical updates are being disseminated to the team and conduct internal and external tax training.
- Publish newsletter / posting through the firm’s social media platform to promote the firm’s brand awareness.
- Staff planning and management to ensure progression and team development.
- Independent in conducting relevant research, suggesting solutions, providing advice to the client, lead the meetings with clients and tax authorities.
- Communicate with clients, follow up on outstanding matters & bills.
- Business development – actively promote firm’s professional services, get involve in meeting new prospect, preparing quotation / tender documents, fees negotiation, sales leads follow up, closing deal, etc.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualification/Experience:
- Candidate with prior experience in similar industry will be an added advantage.
- Possesses finance/accounting degree or professional equivalent certification (ACCA/CA/CTIM).
- Strong technical knowledge in income tax, indirect tax, SST/GST
- Experience in using Superior Tax Software
- Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experiences.
- Responsible, good in planning, coordination and deadline management.
- Ability to work in a global, dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment.
- Possess a strategic mind set with high level of integrity, ethics and results driven.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent participatory management skills, effective team-builder with high accountability for his/her actions.
- Required language: English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
