HR Manager (Generalist)

About our client:

Our client is a shared services company that provides end-to-end Human Resource services to software development firms and other fast-growing clients. They are offerings include recruitment, payroll, claims processing, leave management, HR compliance, and advisory support. They also support their own growing internal team with strong HR processes.

Role Summary:

They are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR Services team. The HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients while managing the internal HR operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of Malaysian labor laws, HR systems, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee delivery of client-facing HR services: recruitment, payroll, benefits, leave, claims, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Manage internal HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR strategy.
  • Lead and develop a team of HR executives and specialists.
  • Ensure service delivery meets SLAs and quality standards.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the escalation point.
  • Oversee HRIS and payroll systems; ensure data integrity and compliance.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Candidates with a background in IT or Fintech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
  • Experience in a shared services or client-facing HR role preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CHRP, MIHRM) are an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and service quality metrics.
