Boiler Engineer (Oil & Gas Industry)

About the Company:

Our client is a leading Malaysian engineering company specializing in integrated mechanical services—including boiler systems, plant maintenance, and fabrication works—for clients in the power, oil & gas, petrochemical, and general industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

• To lead the project team which include supervisors and workers.
• Responsible for liaison with client, consultant and authority as per contract requirement.
• Ensure project is carried out in accordance with the company’s QMS.
• Monitoring progress of sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Responsible for overall project QA/QC and safety requirement.
• Responsible for bidding or tender for the respective department.
• Analyse technical proposals for bidding or tender.
• To provide technical support and manage workshop fabrication.
• To work with Management to implement internal Project Control tools.
• Report to Management on Power Plant progress, costs, schedules, safety, quality etc.
• Identify, communicate and manage risk.
  
  

Requirement:

• Degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years working experience, particularly in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. Knowledge of industrial process plant and equipment fabrication and installation would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with ASME code will be an added advantage.
• Analytical and enquiring mind
• Energetic with a “Can do” attitude
• Disciplined and team player
• Good written and spoken English & Malay
• Computer literate
• Willing to travel (Malaysia/Overseas)
