Senior Frontend Web Developer – Hybrid working (i-Gaming Project / Mandarin Speaker)

About the Role:

We are looking for a responsible and self-driven Senior Web Developer with strong React.js experience to build and maintain scalable web applications. The role requires high ownership, the ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setup, and involvement in end-to-end development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js.
• Manage features from planning to deployment and post-launch support.
• Build real-time functionalities using WebSockets / Socket.IO.
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs smoothly.
• Support basic web infrastructure setup (Nginx, routing, deployment).
• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding best practices.
• Identify technical issues early and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with the team and contribute to overall performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of frontend web development experience ; Strong proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with WebSocket or real-time systems (e.g., Socket.IO).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, system architecture, and performance optimization.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts (Nginx, routing, deployment).
• Able to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Full proficiency in Mandarin is a must.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with SSR frameworks (e.g., Next.js) and mobile-first / PWA development.
• Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or Headless CMS).
