Quality Engineer

About the Client
Our client is a rapidly growing electronics manufacturing company based in Perak, Malaysia, operating as a key regional hub for a well-established international group headquartered in Asia. Since its incorporation in 2018, the company has specialized in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and a wide range of electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, coils, and transformers.


Role Summary:
This role requires an engineering graduate fluent in English and Mandarin, with at least one year of experience in PCB/PCBA quality systems and ISO 9001 audits, strong QC and customer complaint handling skills, and the ability to apply core quality tools to drive process improvements, manage new model inspections, oversee RMA activities, and conduct product integrity assessments.

Responsibilities:
-Investigate and resolve quality issues, validate customer information, manage non‑conformances, lead quality meetings, and implement process improvement plans.
-Develop inspection specifications (SIP), control plans, PPAP reports, and SMT FAI LCR programs to ensure compliance before mass production.
-Register and track RMA applications, sort returned products, analyze return data, and drive improvements to reduce recurrence.
-Conduct compatibility, reliability, environmental, vibration, drop, and ionic contamination tests; plan ORT and PIA programs to ensure product readiness and durability.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
-Fluent in English and Mandarin.
-Minimum 1 year relevant industry experience.
-Exposure to ISO 9001 audits, PCB/PCBA processes, and IPC standards (SMT/DIP/Assembly).
-QC experience (IPQC, FQC, sample checks, QC flow).
-Experience with Western customers is an advantage.
-Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
-Familiarity with 5 Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC) is a plus.
