Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer

About the Client

Our client is a technology-driven manufacturer specialising in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The company focuses on end-to-end HVAC solutions, including product design, R&D, manufacturing, and global distribution for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Role Summary

Being the maintenance functional team working together to achieve business objectives. Accountable for supervising, troubleshoot, upkeep and repair machines as well as devices to ensure smooth manufacturing of air conditioning units and related products in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Job Responsibility

• Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and repair of factory production equipment, tooling, utilities, fire fighting system and office building.
• Lead troubleshooting of electrical & mechanical related faults or issues.
• Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules & activities.
• Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance records.
• Lead, coach, and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Responsible for the installation, commissioning, acceptance and supervision of newly arrived equipment or facilities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations and factory safety requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares availability.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy and Malaysian labour law, in coordination with HR.
• Ensure 6S and housekeeping for work station or area.
• To follow strictly safety, health and environmental regulatory, standard procedures & requirement.
• To adhere & comply with Company policies, rules, regulations and government legislation.
• Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior/management from time to time.

Job Requirement

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in industrial maintenance, with hands-on electrical and mechanical exposure.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or HVAC / appliance factories is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Industrial electrical systems (415V, motors, panels) and Mechanical systems (drives, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Chargeman (A0 / A1 / A4) or equivalent competency certificate.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills.
• Extended hours may be required to support production demand.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Able to respond quickly during breakdowns and emergencies.
• Able to work under pressure, adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency & experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
