Senior Process Engineer

About the Company:
MNC based in Penang mainland

Role Summary:
Responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining die‑cut processes and ensuring precision, quality compliance, and continuous improvement to support high‑volume production of medical and electronics packaging components.

Job responsibilities
-Develop, monitor, and optimize die‑cutting processes for precision plastics and packaging components, ensuring dimensional accuracy and consistency
-Collaborate with tooling engineers to design, maintain, and improve die‑cut tools; support preventive maintenance and calibration to minimize downtime
-Implement SPC, DOE, and FMEA to monitor defect rates, yield, and cycle time; ensure compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards
-Drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives to reduce scrap, improve OEE, and enhance machine reliability in die‑cut operations
-Work with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve die‑cut process issues and support new product introduction (NPI)
-Perform failure analysis on die‑cut defects (e.g., burrs, misalignment, dimensional variation) and implement corrective actions
-Maintain die‑cut process documentation, update ERP systems, and report on KPIs such as yield, scrap, and downtime
-Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and operators on die‑cut process standards and best practices

Job requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related)
-2–5 years of experience in die‑cutting, stamping, or precision plastics manufacturing
-Hands‑on knowledge of die‑cut tooling, machine vision, and motion control systems
-Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, and CAPA methodologies
-Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
-Experience in medical device or electronics packaging industry preferred
