Finance & Admin Asst. Manager

About our client:

Our client is a leading conglomerate listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, playing a key role in Sarawak’s private sector. They are seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to oversee one of their subsidiaries located in Section 2, Shah Alam.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Enhance accounting operational systems, processes, and policies, with a focus on improving management efficiency, reporting accuracy, information flow, business process effectiveness, and organizational planning.

2️. Manage and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of support services (Finance and Operations) by improving individual functions and strengthening coordination and communication between operational support and programme development and delivery. This includes overseeing the day-to-day processing of accounts.

3️. Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence

4️. Oversee all financial management, planning, systems, controls, policy, and governance.

5️. Led the preparation of monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of financial performance, including budget variance analysis, cash flow projections, and alignment with financial and operational targets.

6. Prepare draft audit accounts and be a liaison with the externally appointed auditor.

7. Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits

8. Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for the organization, including consolidated reports for submission to the holding company.

9. Regular meetings with Management around fiscal planning & development.

10. Undertake any ad hoc tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Bachelor’s degree qualification in Finance and Management. MBA or Master in Accounting qualifications are preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of strong background and hand-on experience in Financial & Operations Management.
  3. Candidate must have budget development and management experience.
  4. Preferred candidate has at least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping
  5. Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Access, Word & Excel
