General Manager (Plant Operations) / Head of Plant – Wooden Picture Frame Moulding (based in Rawang)

About the Company:

A public listed company with major business in the manufacturing and export of Wooden Picture Frame Moulding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, supervising, leading and motivating the production team to meet customer order on time delivery.
• Designs and implements programs to enhance production productivity.
• Ensure production machineries fully running and the product delivered according to schedule.
• Monitor and maintain production system (iEPOS & PRS) operation.
• Develop, implement, continuously review and improve standard operating procedures and work instructions for production and maintenance operations.
• Oversee, coach, motivate production and maintenance staff in production operations.
• Responsible for the overall leadership, management and progressive growth of the Quality Management System and Quality Team including ISO 9001 and FSC compliance.
• To maintain and develop procedural documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable international standards.
• To coordinate the cross-functional interaction with the Operations and Marketing teams and oversee the day-to-day quality control, assurance and engineering related to new product development and existing product lines.
• To work with management and cross-functional teams to create, document, analyze and improve company processes striving for increased efficiency, effectiveness and reduced costs.
• Expert identification of root causes of problems with ability for swift coordination of appropriate responses, including graphical analysis and Pareto charts.
• To manage CAR (Corrective Action Requests) and Customer Complaints.
• Participate with process engineering and continuous improvement efforts.
• Evaluate trends and report Quality Metrics by analyzing customer complaints, non-conformances (NCR’s), scrap, internal audits and other quality indicators.
• To lead the design team to come up with saleable moulding designs.

Requirements:

• Experience in the wooden products, wooden furniture, wooden building materials, or wooden picture frame industry is a must.
• Must be able to communicate in Mandarin.
• Occasionally travelling to US and Australia for client visit.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Possess experience in the operating within ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
